Dancing for Gold® 2024 supporting Book for Hope®

Time is the most precious commodity; wisdom is how we use it. Use yours wisely, live in the NOW, and choose to make a difference.
My name is Aimee Hidalgo-Brown. I was born and raised in the Philippines, a country with over 7,600 islands in Southeast Asia. I moved to the US in 2010 to start a family with my wonderful husband of thirteen years, Tony. We have four wonderful kids, to whom we are professional chauffeurs and
cheerleaders to all of them at their football, baseball, basketball, and softball games.
I have worked in several global and family-owned companies here and in the Philippines, such as Intel, Dell, AISIN, and Par 4 Plastics. In addition, I have various skills in HR, Project Management, and Quality Engineering in the Automotive and Aerospace industries. I am currently working with Wyman-Gordon in Princeton, Kentucky, as a Process Engineer.
My husband and I are raising our children in Lyon County, where I first heard of Book for Hope® through Owen Matthews. Owen was a Book for Hope® warrior, and I have seen how our community pulled together and supported Owen and his family through their struggles with childhood cancer. Learning
that only 4% of the billions of dollars the government spends annually on cancer research is directed toward childhood cancer, and only 4% goes to pediatric cancer research prompted me to help in any way I can to raise awareness about childhood cancer.
I will be dancing in memory of Owen Matthews and all the kids and families out there who are going through this unimaginable journey. I hope you can support me in helping Book for Hope, Inc. continue offering financial support to families with a child actively in cancer treatment in western Kentucky and
southern Illinois and give to childhood cancer research. Your donation will go a long way in helping these kids and their families. Please support us and make a difference! I appreciate any help you can provide.
