When I read about the mission and purpose of Book for Hope and how they directly support hurting, sick children in need and their families in our area, I knew I needed to be part of this cause.
Hey everyone, my name is Anthony Copeland. I live with my wife, Christa, and sons, Jacob and Blake, here in McCracken County. We moved to the area from Baltimore, Maryland, when I joined the Paducah Police Department in 2006. I have been blessed to have performed almost every job at the department, and I am now the Assistant Chief of Police.
I have a passion for continuing to develop myself and others around me, while always learning. I try to exemplify this in both word and deed. I recently obtained my Master’s Degree from Murray State University in Human Development and Leadership. I am constantly looking for examples of great leadership and excellence in policing everywhere I go.
To relax, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, camping, hunting, traveling to the mountains, and working with my hands.
So, why Dancing for Gold? When we moved to Western Kentucky, it became apparent this is a community in which you can make a difference. Over the years, my family and I have been involved in many ministries and outreaches, doing our best to make a positive impact. When I read about the mission and purpose of Book for Hope and how they directly support hurting, sick children in need and their families in our area, I knew I needed to be part of this cause.
I have personally been impacted by the loss of friends and family to cancer. I have seen how important it is that those traveling this difficult road have the support and resources they need. I am honored to be part of this cause!
Thank you in advance for giving and being part of such an amazing ministry!
