Michael Jenkins

Hi, I’m Michael Jenkins from Paducah, Kentucky. This is my first time stepping onto a dance floor like this — and I’m doing it with a big heart and an even bigger purpose.

I’ve lived in Paducah for over 20 years. I’m married to my amazing wife, Katie, and we have three incredible kids: Canaan (7), Charlee (5), and Emory (4). They’re my world and a big part of the “why” behind this experience.

In my day-to-day work, I serve as the Regional Sales Director for Graceland Portable Buildings, where I focus on business development and building strong relationships with our dealer network. I love helping small businesses grow and creating opportunities that have a lasting impact on local communities. I also work as a realtor with Housman Partners, helping families find their next home. Whether it’s launching a new dealership or handing someone the keys to their future, what drives me most is people — and that’s what pulled me into Dancing for Gold®.

This cause is personal. When our daughter Emory was just two months old, she had to undergo heart surgery. It wasn’t cancer, but the experience gave me a deep empathy for families walking through medical uncertainty — the fear, the specialists, the long drives, and total dependence on the care of others. I’ll never forget the people who stepped in to help us, and now I’m honored to dance for the families who are still in the fight.

Dancing isn’t exactly my strong suit, but I’ve got heart, rhythm (sometimes), and a whole lot of motivation to make a difference. If a few sore muscles and some awkward moves can help bring hope to these families — I’ll dance my heart out.
