My name is Jeff Mears, and I live in Vienna, IL, with my lovely bride Emma and our two daughters, Chasey and Kennadi. I worked in the Illinois Department of Corrections for 18.5 years. I am currently employed as an Illinois Labor Relations Board member. I have always had a burning desire to help people who need a helping hand, regardless of the situation. I was the lead singer of a popular local band called PLAIN STRANGE. My band mates and I made it our goal to help as many people as possible with our gift of music, and we were very blessed to do so throughout the years. Four years ago, I learned about Book For Hope® while playing a benefit for a young lady battling cancer, and that young lady named Kendall changed many people’s lives forever. I am honored to have this opportunity to dance and hopefully raise enough money to make a BIG difference for individuals and families fighting for life!
