Things to know about Splash 'n' Dash!
WHO: Norton Children’s Hospital and you!
WHAT: The annual Splash ‘n’ Dash Walk/Run in support of Norton Children's Hospital! Participants will splash, dash, walk or run on a designated course of their choice with a scenic view in E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. Enjoy family friendly activities before and after the race in the "Just for Kids" Zone.
Ways to splash, dash, walk or run include:
1K Course: Race starts at 9 a.m. // Waves will start every 10 minutes until last wave at 11:00 a.m. Staggered start times within each wave, participants choose their start wave
5K Course: Race starts at 8 a.m. // All 5k participants need to have started the course by 9 a.m.
Choose your own start time! Just show up!
Group participants are encouraged to wait for all members of their party to arrive before proceeding to the start line.
Aquathlon: Race starts at 11 a.m. // Age Group Swim Starts (appx 15 min between): Age 7-11 & Age 12-15
WHEN: Saturday, July 22, 2023, start times vary based on course
WHERE: E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park, Start line is by shelter #1
WHY: Splash ‘n’ Dash benefits the lifesaving care available to the more than 215,000 children cared for at Norton Children’s Hospital, regardless of their families’ ability to pay. Participants can designate their funds raised to their area of choice.
HOW: Register to run/walk on either the 1K course or the 5K course join a team or create a team and start fundraising!
HOW MUCH: 5K course is $30 for adults, $20 for kids ages 5 to 17 and free for kids ages 4 and under. 1K course is $25 for adults, $20 for kids ages 5 to 17 and free for kids ages 4 and under. Aquathlon is $35 per participant, which includes a one-day USAT fee.
Registration fees will increase by $5 on race day.

Registration will open at 7 a.m. on race day for the 1k & 5k; Registration will open at 8am on race day for the Aquathlon.
We recommend registering online prior to your arrival on race day. Online registration will not close, however, prices will increase by $5 on the day of.
Once you've registered online, be sure to check your email for instructions on how to sign-up for your race start timeframe. This will allow for expedited check-in upon arrival.
Parking
E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park
Parking is available in front of the activities building at 3000 Freys Hill Rd., Louisville, KY 40241 and there will be overflow parking across from the main parking lot.

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
